1) Agreement to these Terms

By accessing or using this website (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

Michigan Service Pros is an online directory that helps people find hands-on service professionals in Michigan (such as salons, barbers, spas, studios, and related categories). The Site may include:

public business listings,

featured/premium placements (paid),

category and city/service-area pages,

“Get Listed” submission forms,

blog content and resources.

3) Definitions

“Visitor”: anyone browsing the Site.

“Business” / “Listing Owner”: a business submitting or managing a listing.

“Listing”: the public directory page/card showing business details.

“Content”: text, photos, logos, descriptions, and other materials on the Site.

4) Directory listings and no endorsement

Listings are provided for convenience. We do not endorse, guarantee, or verify every business, service, pricing, availability, licensing status, insurance, or quality of work.

You are responsible for verifying a provider and deciding whether to hire or book.

5) Bookings and third-party links

The Site may link to third-party websites, booking tools, maps, or social platforms. When you click out of our Site, third-party terms and privacy policies apply. We are not responsible for third-party services.

6) Submitting a listing

If you submit a listing (free or paid), you agree that:

your information is accurate and current,

you have authority to submit on behalf of the business,

you will notify us of changes and request updates when needed.

We may contact you to confirm or correct listing information before or after publishing.

7) Content rules (what you can’t submit)

You agree not to submit content that:

is false, misleading, or deceptive,

violates any law or regulation,

infringes someone’s rights (copyright, trademark, privacy),

contains hate, harassment, threats, or explicit violence,

includes malware, spam, scraping tools, or attempts to disrupt the Site.

8) Our right to edit, refuse, suspend, or remove

We may, at our discretion:

edit formatting for clarity (without changing meaning),

refuse a submission,

unpublish, suspend, or remove a listing/content,

restrict access to Site features.

Reasons may include policy violations, suspected spam, repeated complaints, inaccurate details, or legal concerns.

9) Paid listings, featured placements, and advertising

If you purchase a paid listing or featured placement:

Results are not guaranteed. Being listed does not guarantee leads, bookings, revenue, rankings, or visibility.

Placement, category, and appearance may vary by device and may change as we improve the directory.

We may adjust packages, pricing, and inclusions over time; changes apply going forward (not retroactively).

10) Payments, renewals, cancellations, and refunds

Payments: You authorize us (or our payment processor) to charge your payment method for the package you select.

Renewals (if applicable): If your plan includes auto-renewal, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel.

Cancellation: You may cancel a recurring plan by [choose one: emailing support / using your account portal / completing a cancellation form]. Cancellation stops future billing but does not reverse past charges.

ALL SALES FINAL / NO REFUNDS:
All purchases are final and non-refundable once payment is made, including (but not limited to) listing fees, featured placements, upgrades, and advertising packages—regardless of publish date, performance, or early cancellation.

11) Business content and permission to publish

You retain ownership of your business name, logo, and photos. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute your content for directory purposes and to promote the directory (e.g., showcasing featured businesses), unless you request otherwise in writing.

You confirm you have the right to use and share any materials submitted.

12) Reviews and user-generated content (optional)

If the Site allows reviews/comments:

reviews reflect the reviewer’s opinion, not ours,

fake or incentivized reviews are not allowed unless clearly disclosed and permitted by law,

we may remove content that violates these Terms.

13) Intellectual property

The Site’s design, layout, branding, text, graphics, and original content are owned by us or licensed to us. You may not copy, reproduce, or resell Site materials without permission.

14) Acceptable use (no scraping, no abuse)

You agree not to:

scrape or harvest Site data using automated tools,

probe or test Site security,

15) Disclaimer of warranties

16) Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits/revenue/data arising from your use of the Site or reliance on listings.

If liability is found, our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the last 30 days for the service at issue (or $0 if you paid nothing).

17) Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from:

your use of the Site,

content you submit,

your violation of these Terms,

disputes between you and customers or third parties.

18) Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

19) Changes to the Site or these Terms

We may update the Site, features, pricing, and these Terms at any time. The “Last Updated” date reflects the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

20) Governing law and venue
